General questions

What is VRpussyVision?

With the use of immersive 3D multimedia technology, the viewer, given VR equipment, becomes part of the virtual environment in a video. We use a variety of techniques to make the videos as realistic as if the viewer were in those videos.

On the one hand, we achieve this by recording the scenes with high quality stereoscopic 3D technology. Each of the two cameras takes a video from different angles, the left camera corresponding to the left human eye and the right camera for the right human eye. When playing a VRpussyVision movie, each of these two videos will only be shown to the corresponding eye. The result is a video with depth as in real life instead of a flat picture, as on a normal screen.

On the other hand, we film the video with a field of view that is much bigger than a conventional video and larger than what can normally only be displayed on a screen. This means that when you see the center of such a video, there is more to see in every direction around you, which is not really visible in the normal video. With the motion tracking technology integrated into current smartphones and VR glasses, you can actually look around in the environment by looking left, right, up or down.

The result is a unique experience!

The different VR player apps also require varying amounts of computing power, so it makes sense to try different apps. However, if neither the selection of lower-resolution video (such as Mobile LQ) nor the use of other VR player apps can provide a remedy, the phone is not suitable for VR.

Are there any risks with VR?

As with all things that are fun, you can not completely exclude some risks when using VR glasses. We at VRpussyVision would like to inform you about this for your safety:

Motion Sickness: Also known as sea sickness or motion sickness, it may appear after a short while of using VR glasses and may last for some time. Some signs of this may include general malaise, dizziness, nausea, cold sweats, headaches or tiredness. The occurrence is different for everyone, often these symptoms do not occur or in the presentation of fast movements z.b. from action games or roller coaster videos or simulations. The use should be interrupted immediately at the onset of the symptoms mentioned at least until fading.

VRpussyVision videos are usually taken from a fixed position at about the same level as a seated person and are usually seen sitting down, so that the perceived body position corresponds to what has been seen, which largely prevents these symptoms. Nevertheless, it is generally recommended that the use of VR glasses, especially at first not exaggerated and only gradually the use should be extended.

Dependency: Virtual reality offers the opportunity to completely immerse yourself in other worlds, and the goal of VRpussyVision is to allow the videos to submerge or even surpass the wildest fantasies. There is a danger that one may prefer the virtual world to the real world and create a certain dependence. But since our content consists of short videos that always have a beginning and an end, the risk of addiction is much lower than, for example, immersive VR games. Nevertheless, want to point out that the risk exists.

SMARTPHONE VR-GLASSES

What are smartphone VR glasses?
Smartphone VR glasses are the evolution of Google's Cardboard, all of which work on the same basic principle:

In a box made of cardboard or plastic, there is a flap on one side for inserting a smartphone, and on the other side the lenses, which straighten the image to the human eye.

Due to the distance of the lenses and the division of the image into two partial images, one for the left and the right eye respectively, the 3D effect is similar to that in the real world for the viewer when playing 3D VR content.

The tilt sensors built into the smartphones capture and transmit the head movements, allowing you to look around in all directions in 180 ° or 360 ° VR content.

Typical glasses are e.g. Google Daydream or the VR Interactive One from Smaart
